I met Everest today, whose introduction offered wisdom in an unexpected way. Everest is a 10 month old, pit bull/bull dog mix “puppy.” I use that word in protest! A holiday addition to my niece’s family, in December 2017.
Being the ever dutiful great aunt (or should I say ant in this scenario) I took it upon myself to get to know Everest, one-on-one, during a walk around the block. OMG!! Break out the fire alarm sound effects!
Tricked, by a lesson fixed; one wrapped in an experience, boxed in a boxer/pit mix. A mix-up? Nope. An up-to-the-present-moment reminder that each step we take challenges us to keep pace, join and adjoin with the human race, in a space that takes us on a walk around the block, designed to unlock the cross-talk Divined from heart to mind so we can find the place in time, to undock and take stock in… our within.
In other words… Everest taught me about resistance.
